Earth day! April 22nd we are going to being joining a global movement to celebrate Earth Day, a day dedicated to environmental and climate literacy. The first Earth day was nearly 50 years ago in 1970, organized by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson. This day was such a success that it would be repeated 20 years later in 1990, but this time on a global scale with 141 participating countries. Earth Day has continued to grow and now boasts hundreds of millions of people from 192 nations who come together yearly to educate and celebrate. This day has brought a heightened level of  awareness to the green movement and resulted concrete legislative changes intended to help keep our earth clean all around the world. – Coconut Water Cambodia believes that environmental education is vitally important which is why we have made it one of our primary focuses. We aim to help the environment through our various programs such as recycling workshops and eco-gardens in which we involve the students directly by  allowing them to make a difference in the present and teaching them valuable skills for the future.
